Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center Recognized
The Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center at Centennial Hills Hospital was recently honored with the President’s Circle award, a prestigious honor for operating as a top national center that achieves clinical and operational excellence.
“I’m very proud of our team for their expertise in treating our patients with non-healing wounds,” said Sajit Pullarkat, CEO of Centennial Hills Hospital. “Our wound care specialists focus on the intervention and treatment of wounds that may be caused by injury, surgery, pressure sores or diabetes. They use a variety of techniques and hyperbaric care to reduce healing time and complications and work to prevent life-changing situations like amputation.”
The Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center at Centennial Hills Hospital is a member of the Healogics network of over 600 Wound Care Centers® and offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time.
Advanced wound care modalities provided by our wound care experts include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies. The Center also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which works by surrounding the patient with 100% oxygen to help progress the healing of the wound.
“We are proud of the accomplishments that we have achieved since we opened in 2017. Previously, we had achieved the Center of Distinction Award. This was the first President’s Circle award in conjunction with the Center of Distinction award and Robert A. Warriner, III Clinical Excellence Award. The awards rank our wound care center in the top 10% of the country in clinical outcomes. I think it illustrates our staff’s dedication to healing our patients,” Jo Lynn Smith, Program Director, stated.
