ER at West Craig, an extension of Centennial Hills Hospital, opened  Friday, December 22, at 7 a.m., ready to care for patients who are experiencing a medical emergency. ER at West Craig is at the cross street of Tenaya Way, by Kneaders Bakery. Located in the northwest Las Vegas quadrant, it is well-positioned to care for members of nearby residential and business communities who need emergency care close to home.

ER at West Craig is open for 24-hour emergency care every day of the year. It is staffed with the same types of medical personnel – including emergency medicine physicians, nurses and techs – and equipped with the same diagnostic technology that is available at the Centennial Hills Hospital emergency department.

Diagnostic capabilities include an on-site laboratory, CT scanner and imaging equipment, along with multiple treatment rooms, exam rooms, a decontamination room with a shower and entrances for both walk-in patients and ambulance arrivals.

Craig McCoy, CEO of Centennial Hills Hospital and, by extension, ER at West Craig, noted this is the hospital’s second freestanding emergency department. The first is ER at Valley Vista which opened in January 2022. “Our experienced team is ready to provide safe, high-quality emergency care, diagnosing and treating the same types of illnesses and emergencies we care for at Centennial Hills Hospital," said McCoy. "Rather than driving further for emergency medical care, we’ve brought our ER closer to our community for easier access.”

ER at West Craig represents the seventh freestanding emergency departments currently open in The Valley Health System. Other freestanding emergency departments include:

• Elite Medical Center, an extension of Valley Hospital
• ER at Blue Diamond, an extension of Spring Valley Hospital
• ER at Desert Springs, an extension of Valley Hospital
• ER at Green Valley Ranch, an extension of Henderson Hospital
• ER at North Las Vegas, an extension of Valley Hospital, which opened for patient care on Tuesday, December 19
• ER at Valley Vista, an extension of Centennial Hills Hospital

ER at Cadence, an extension of Henderson Hospital, is under construction and will open in Summer 2024.
